TO LEARN WHILE ON THE MOVE

By Diana Aleksieva, journalist, creator of www.interview.to

Diana: "I expected to come out a "ready" journalist. It turned out that our profession is learned on the fly, on the field and in practice. You listen, work, write, talk, analyse - again and again. Nowadays, one is expected to do much more than what was expected from a journalist during my graduation. The media today expect a lot faster, instant, at that adequate response. I remember my first summer practice - I sat in a radio station's studio and waited for the call from the Institute of Meteorology every hour, to dictate me the daily temperatures so I relay them to the news team. Believe it or not, this was not so long ago."
